My Philosophy
As a mother of 4 and as a Child Care Provider,my mission in having children under my care has been to ensure that I give them the best care possible by providing them with a clean and safe space and healthy environment. Here at De Horta Family Child Care we engage children in weekly activities, monitor behavior and development, and guide the children to find their own path.

Infants
We focus on skills that support upcoming developments such as crawling, sitting, walking, etc. Infant’s diapers are changed as needed and are fed when they are hungry unless the infant’s physician has instructed otherwise. Infant’s sleep on their backs at all times.
Toddler
At this stage, children begin to develop their autonomy and independence such as their motor skills, linguistic development, as well as their emotional and social development. Our focus is providing them with activities that can develop each of these areas.
Preschool
Due to the fact that at this stage their motor, cognitive, linguistic, social and emotional skills are more developed, we carry out activities for children to further strengthen their skills. Activities such as reading books and games to teach them to count and read. As well as drawing, painting, playing in groups and running outdoors. We encourage children to do things independently to strengthen their autonomy.
The health and safety of the children is our priority.
Infant Development
Development of cognitive skills through games with colors, shapes, and textures.
World Language
Interacting with other children is crucial for developing social skills, fostering empathy, group play, effective communication and conflict resolution. As a result, children develop more positive behaviors and can create a healthier environment.
Physical Development
Strengthening gross motor skills and coordination by playing outdoors. Physical development is essential for healthy growth.
Managing Emotions
It is crucial to foster awareness in children of their emotions. We help them understand and express them appropriately and teach them social skills such as empathy by creating a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their feelings without judgment and learn to manage them in a healthy way.

Special Activities
At De Horta Family Child Care, we celebrate birthday's with beautiful decorations, cake, delicious food, and fun activities making this day magical and special!
Seeing our little ones happy is one of our priorities. Throughout the year we arrange magical activities that the children enjoy to the fullest.
In the summer, we have activities for the children to cool off, always with supervision.
